Original 90s production of the classic 60s oversized round design with the frame being thicker on the outer elliptical edge. This design has established itself as a classic that has been revised in every decade since. This version has stayed true to the historic shape with the straightforward colour choice and no gaudy branding.
In todays context, it’s no exaggeration to say that these glasses have become some kind of symbol of the definitive fashion for the sake of fashion persona. In this case for mature women who are unusually confident, or purely are unconcerned what people think or both. By this I mean I have observed any number of characters in films and ads, who are given these glasses for the character to instantly convey that they are the fashion cognoscenti that must not have their opinion questioned.
Needless to say this is a very strong imposing look for everyday use that will require some level of courage to wear which you will need to be realistic about.
Please don’t order these, tell us how much you loved them, but then say they are ‘too much’ for you. We know, we just said so twice.
Made to a good standard of production from acetate. It would be surprising if you were disappointed in the quality for this price.
Please note they will most likely sit a fraction lower on your nose than on our mannequin.
For the record, the excellence of this design did not escape the attention of Acne studios, whose copycat version of this form is in the region of 5-6 times this price. Their company didn’t exist when these originals were produced.
