An antique papier-mâchée and mother of pearl glasses case dating from the 1910’s.
Beautiful shiny black shellac covered papier-mâchée case with hinged opening section to one end
Inside is lined in purple velvet
The top of the case has an inlaid mother of pearl and silver tone metal frame with three horizontal bands across the middle
The case measures approx 6.5″ x 1.75″ x 0.4″

The case is in excellent antique condition with a good secure hinge and nice and snug fitting lid
There are the following minor age related defects – one tiny dink to the back of the case, a little wear to the interior velvet and one tiny piece of mother pearl missing from the centre of one of the end bands – see photos
